Prince of Peace Catholic School, a nationally recognized Blue Ribbon school, has announced that its annual Pizzazz auction and dinner-dance gala is open to community members and local businesses, as well as its parishioners, parents/relatives and neighbors ages 21 years and older.
This year’s fundraising event, The Great Gatsby Gala, will be Saturday, Nov. 12, at Maravela’s Banquet Hall in Fox Lake.
Tickets are $55 (includes soft drinks) or $75 (includes open bar), and can be purchased online at www.givecentral.org/location/44/category/574 or in person at the Prince of Peace Parish Office, 135 S. Milwaukee Ave., Lake Villa, until Nov. 9.
Attendees will enjoy a buffet dinner, silent and live auctions, a “getaway” raffle, music and dancing, and camaraderie. More than 200 attendees are expected to participate in Pizzazz this year.
New to the 2016 event is an exclusive raffle. Each ticket is a $100 donation, and will be capped after the 100th ticket is sold. The winner has a choice of three trips (airfare/hotel included), each of which is valued at $5,500 or more: Napa Valley Epicurean Adventure; Ultimate Pro Sports Fan Getaway; and Jamaica All-Inclusive resort, Montego Bay.
The drawing will be held during the gala; winners need not be present.
All proceeds go toward the resources and equipment needed to support the children of Prince of Peace Catholic School. Purchase tickets online or at the Prince of Peace parish office.
“At Prince of Peace, we value community and appreciate all that ours does for us, so we are pleased to open our event to the local people and businesses,” said Lauren Risley, chair of The Great Gatsby Gala.
“Our Great Gatsby theme is attracting a lot of attention. We are setting up our wine pull in bootlegged crates and encouraging attendees to dress for the 1920s. Everyone who attends is sure to have a great time.”
