Wolves win 8th straight at home:

ROSEMONT — Kenny Agostino registered his second consecutive three-point night while Andrew Agozzino tallied two goals to help the Chicago Wolves edge the Manitoba Moose 5-4 Sunday at Allstate Arena. The victory marked the eighth consecutive win on home ice for the Wolves and the sixth straight win overall. Chicago (35-17-4-3) rallied from an early 2-0 deficit in the first period and scored five straight goals to build a 5-2 lead. However, the Moose (23-28-4-4) collected two goals 46 seconds apart in the third period to build the suspense. Jordan Binnington turned aside 37 shots for the win while Jamie Phillips stopped 34 in the loss.

Lancers outduel Steel:

OMAHA, NEBRASKA — Omaha scored four second period goals and overcame a furious Steel rally in the third, and the Lancers defeated the Steel 5-3 Sunday afternoon at Ralston Arena. Filip Suchy scored his first hat trick of the season as Omaha (19-24-5-1, 44 pts.) denied Chicago (31-12-2-3, 67 pts.) its first weekend sweep since late January. Former Steel goaltender Tommy Nappier made 20 saves in the victory. Nappier stopped 20 of 23 shots while both Suchy and Filip Rydstrom had multi-point nights for Omaha. Reggie Lutz and Jake Jaremko each had multi-point nights for Chicago as Jaremko now has two goals and two assists in his last four games. The loss was Chicago’s first in regulation against a Western Conference team this season (8-1-0-2).

Buzzer beater for Pacers:

ATLANTA — Glenn Robinson III hit a 3-pointer with sixth-tenths of a second remaining, Paul George scored 34 points and the Indiana Pacers rallied in the closing minutes to beat the Atlanta Hawks 97-96 on Sunday. Jeff Teague, in his first game back at Philips Arena after spending his first seven seasons with the Hawks, added 16 points and six assists. Tim Hardaway Jr. finished with 24 points and Paul Millsap had 23 points and 10 rebounds for Atlanta, which has lost five of seven. Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer missed the game after getting suspended for bumping into a referee during Friday’s loss to Cleveland. Assistant Darvin Ham took his place.

Murphy faces PED suspension:

INDIANAPOLIS — Washington outside linebacker Trent Murphy is facing a four-game suspension for violating the NFL’s policy on performance-enhancement drugs, according to multiple people with knowledge of the situation. The suspension is currently being appealed by Murphy. If upheld, he would miss the first four games of the 2017 NFL season. Murphy, 26, had a breakout season in 2016, recording a career-high nine sacks and three forced fumbles in 16 games, as part of a three-man pass rushing rotation for Washington with Ryan Kerrigan and Preston Smith. He had recorded six sacks and three forced fumbles in 31 games during his first two seasons with the team.

Ochoa to play tournament:

MEXICO CITY — Lorena Ochoa is returning to LPGA Tour competition for the first time in five years, but only for her tournament. Mexico’s greatest golfer said Sunday she will play in the Lorena Ochoa Match Play on May 4-7 in Mexico City. It will be her first time competing since the Lorena Ochoa Invitational in 2012. “I know I’m going to play, so I’ve been practicing a couple of days a week,” Ochoa said during a visit to the Mexico Championship at Chapultepec Golf Club. “But I promise after tomorrow, I’m going to practice every day. I play OK. I enjoy it.” Ochoa was 28 and at the top of her game when she shocked the golf world by announcing her retirement in April 2010 when she still was No. 1 in the world.

2 rejoin Wild after mumps:

ST. PAUL, Minn. — Zach Parise and Jason Pominville have rejoined the Minnesota Wild after sitting out three games because of the mumps. Parise and Pominville were diagnosed with the highly contagious virus on Feb. 27 after coming back from the team’s five-day bye. Assistant coach Scott Stevens also had the mumps and returned for Minnesota’s home game Sunday against the San Jose Sharks. All three were quarantined and no other players showed signs of the virus.
