His Eminence Gerhard Cardinal Müller, Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, will give a lecture titled “The Theology of Freedom: Encountering Christ at the Margins of Society.” Mass will follow the lecture at 11:15 a.m. Cardinal Müller’s lecture is being sponsored by the Archdiocesan Office for Evangelization and Missionary Discipleship and the University of Saint Mary of the Lake/ Mundelein Seminary. Fall fest: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, United Protestant Church, 54 S. Whitney St., Grayslake. The community is invited to United Protestant Church’s “Bounce on In” Fall Fest, in conjunction with Grayslake Business Trick-or-Treating, on the front lawn of the church. There will be hot coffee for adults, fresh popcorn and lemonade for all and a moonwalk for the kids. Trick-or-treating will take place at downtown Grayslake businesses at the same time. Holocaust survivors: 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sundays, Oct. 30, and Nov. 6 and 13, Temple Chai, 1670 Checker Road, Long Grove. Survivors of the Holocaust will share their stories during three Holocaust Survivor Series special events. Each of the events features different speakers.
