Marklund Golf Classic: 11 a.m. Thursday, May 26, Hilton Chicago/Indian Lakes Resort, 250 W. Schick Road, Bloomingdale. This popular event gives participants the opportunity to golf with former professional athletes. Enjoy golf, dinner and live auction to support children and adults with profound developmental disabilities The event begins at 11 a.m. with registration and lunch on the patio with all golfers and athletes. Golfers tee off at 1 p.m. in a shotgun start. Players will be divided among the resorts three courses and enjoy unique challenge games at some of the tees. Once completed with the 18-hole rounds, golfers will gather inside in the banquet room for the 6 p.m. dinner and auction. ‘Picnic in the Park’: 11 a.m. Saturday, May 28, Recreation Park, 500 E. Miner, Arlington Heights. Picnic in the Park honoring Coach Lloyd Meyer for 60 years of community service. Celebration of the return of Arlington and Forest View Alumni to participation in School District 214. Everyone is invited, Riders for Research Happy Hour: 6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 2, Chicago Harley Davidson Dealership, 2929 Patriot Blvd., Glenview. Free happy hour presented by Hadassah, Chicago Harley Davidson and Merrill Lynch. The event is to raise awareness for Hadassah’s groundbreaking medical research in such debilitative diseases as ALS, MS, cancer, melanoma and diabetes at Hadassah Medical Organization in Israel. Admission is free to the public who can enjoy, complimentary hors d’oeuvres, an opportunity to experience a Harley Davidson ride in the Harley simulation booth and music by the live band JUNK.
