Memorable shows
Show designer Dave Maxwell has seen hundreds of concerts over the course of his career. Here are three of his most memorable:
1. Tina Turner in Munich. “When she walks on stage, you’re blown away. You’re really in awe.”
2. Luis Miguel shows in South America. “The crowds have 95,000 people, and I’d say 93,000 of them are women and their daughters.”
3. The 2002 George Harrison tribute show in London, with Paul McCartney, Monty Python, Tom Petty, Billy Preston, Ringo Starr and other top stars. “Everyone was there. It was the stuff that will stay with you forever.”
