U.S. Minority Contractors Association: On Thursday, Aug. 11, the U.S. Minority Contractors Association will hold its second annual golf outing fundraiser from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Makray Memorial Golf Course, 1010 S. Northwest Hwy. in Barrington.

Cost is $200 or $800 per foursome. It includes your green fees, cart rental, breakfast, lunch, dinner and cocktails. They encourage scrambles of four but individual registrations are welcome and teams will be assigned.

The shotgun start is at 10 a.m.

Admission for nongolfers and networking is $60 per person, which will include a dinner and cocktails. The raffle and silent auction starts at 3:45 p.m., with dinner at 4 p.m.

Numerous sponsorship opportunities are available.

The U.S. Minority Contractors Association is a nonprofit professional trade organization that provides professional, educational, technical and consulting services to both its membership and through the community at large. It serves as the advocacy agency for minority contractors and subcontractors in the suburban community while endeavoring to provide the best consulting services possible in the construction, environmental, building maintenance, architectural engineering design, hospitality training and general service industries.

GOLF4MFG: Nuts, Bolts, and Thingamajigs, the nonprofit foundation of the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association International, will host its fourth annual GOLF4MFG golf outing fundraiser on Monday, Aug. 22, at Cantigny Golf Course, 27W270 Mack Road in Wheaton.

Arrive at Cantigny Golf for the tour at 7:45 a.m., followed by a tour of Clipper Industries Inc. in Itasca at 9 a.m. Golf registration for non-tour attendees will begin at 10 a.m., followed by two 30-minute rounds of golf demo at 11 and 11:30 a.m. A buffet lunch will be held at noon. It will be followed by a golf scramble, shotgun start, at 1 p.m. The cocktail reception will be 5 to 6 p.m., followed by the dinner and awards presentation from 6 to 8 p.m.

The fundraiser supports the future of manufacturing. NBT awards annual scholarships to students pursuing manufacturing careers and grants for summer manufacturing camps.

Cost is $225 and includes an industry tour, golf demo, buffet lunch, greens fees, cart rental, cocktail reception, dinner, contests, prizes, and more.

Links for Living Waters: The fourth annual “Links for Living Waters” charity golf tournament and dinner is open for registration. The outing will be Friday, Aug. 26, at Mill Creek Golf Club, 39W525 Mill Creek Drive, Geneva. Golfer packages and dinner-only reservations are accepted at www.livingwatersfvpres.org. Sign up as a single golfer or as part of a foursome.

Registration begins at 11:30 a.m., with a shotgun start at 12:45 p.m. Music, dinner, prize drawings and golf awards round out the event beginning at 6:30 p.m.

The cost is $100 per golfer and includes 18 holes, cart, lunch ticket, and dinner. Dinner-only reservations are $50 per person. The outing is open to the public.

Living Waters for the World is a mission of Fox Valley Presbyterian Church, Geneva. Proceeds will support installation of new clean water systems and ongoing health and hygiene education in Guatemalan villages.

Family Alliance golf outing: Family Alliance will hold its golf outing and annual dinner on Monday, Aug. 29, at Bull Valley Country Club in Woodstock. They provide comprehensive health care services with the goal of enhancing quality of life for the growing adult population and their families in the region. It is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization with over 30 years of service in McHenry County.

Sept. 5

CHUG golf tournament: The Collaborative Healthcare Urgency Group, a 501(c) 3 nonprofit based in Des Plaines, will hold its annual CHUG Golf Tournament on Monday, Sept. 12, at Glendale Lakes Golf Club, 1550 President St. in Glendale Heights.

Registration will begin at 11 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. The dinner, with raffles and silent auction, will begin at 5:30 p.m.

Cost is $175 or $700 for a foursome. Early bird special by Aug. 1 is $160. Dinner only is $50. It will include 18 holes of golf, cart rental, hole contests, lunch, dinner, open bar, and door prizes.
