A comedy show and banquet with Chicago headliner Jim Flannigan begins with a reception including appetizers, cash bar, raffles, photo booth and silent auction. Arlington Heights Community Concert Band: 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 23, Forest View Educational Center, 2121 S. Goebbert Road, Arlington Heights. The Arlington Heights Community Concert Band, in partnership with Community Education Township High School District 214, presents the first of four indoor concerts. The Fall Concert will premiere the band’s new conductor, Mike Madonia. Admission is free, but the band does accept donations to offset the cost of outdated and broken musical instruments. Ghost Walk of Palatine: 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 23, Durty Nellie’s, 180 N. Smith St., Palatine. The Ghost Walk of Palatine is a two-hour tour of the historic and haunted locations in downtown Palatine.
