Volo Aldi reopens June 22

VOLO — The Volo Aldi grocery store at 27415 W. Hartigan Road will reopen on June 22, company officials announced. A ribbon-cutting ceremony and official grand reopening will take place at 8:25 a.m., followed by a Golden Ticket giveaway, eco-friendly bag distribution, Produce for a Year sweepstakes and product sampling. The remodeled Volo store is a part of the Batavia-based company’s nationwide $1.6 billion store remodel plan. In total, ALDI intends to remodel 130 stores in the Chicago area by 2020 at an investment of nearly $180 million. The new ALDI store provides a modern and convenient shopping experience with a focus on fresh items, including more robust produce, dairy and bakery sections. The remodeled store also feature a modern design, open ceilings, natural lighting and environmentally-friendly building materials, such as recycled materials, energy-saving refrigeration and LED lighting.

Aurora chamber nets top grade

AURORA — The U.S. Chamber of Commerce has awarded the Aurora Regional Chamber of Commerce with 5-Star Accreditation for its sound policies, effective organizational procedures, and positive impact on the community. The Aurora chamber was first accredited in 2007 with four-star distinction. In 2012, the U.S. Chamber awarded the chamber with five-star status. The renewal in 2017 marks the second straight accreditation review that the chamber has received the top distinction. “Accreditation with the U.S. Chamber is the only program of its kind that defines excellence in chamber planning and recognizes chambers for outstanding contributions toward positive change in their communities,” said Joseph B. Henning, president and CEO of the Aurora Chamber. It is the only national program recognizing chambers for their effective organizational procedures and community involvement, Henning said.

The new store offers local residents T-Mobile’s 4G LTE technology that now reaches 314 million people across the country. T-Mobile has delivered the fastest nationwide 4G LTE network more than three years in a row, according to crowdsourced tests and multiple independent studies, including Speedtest.net, Open Signal, and the FCC. With T-Mobile ONE all in, monthly taxes and fees are included in the plan. So the price customers see is the price they get — just $40 per line for a family of four with AutoPay. T-Mobile is creating new jobs as stores open in Huntley and across the U.S. at the fastest pace in the company’s history. Store hours are 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday.
