Cubs rookie outfielder Albert Almora Jr., the sixth pick in the 2012 amateur draft, slugged a grand slam and had 2 hits. Willson Contreras hit his second homer of the spring, but Jon Lester struggled a bit while allowing 2 runs and 3 hits in 2 innings.

Nomar Mazara and Mike Napoli each had an RBI single for Texas. Jonathan Lucroy added 2 hits.
