Company hosting food drive
BUFFALO GROVE — The Stationery Studio is hosting a food drive Nov. 1-28 to benefit the Vernon Township Food Pantry during the holiday season. Partnering with #GivingTuesday, TheStationeryStudio.com will be hold the food drive in its lobby at 975 Weiland Road in Buffalo Grove, where people are encouraged to drop off needed items. Some suggested items are pasta, pasta sauces, crackers, rice, noodles, baked beans, cereal, oatmeal, pop tarts, macaroni and cheese, instant potatoes, pancake mix, canned meats, canned fruit/vegetables, canned meals such as beef stew and chili, facial tissue, dish soap, toilet paper, shampoo/conditioner, toothbrush/toothpaste, laundry detergent, bath soap and paper towels. People can drop off items from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday through the period. #GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration that is celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving.
Medline gains military deal
MUNDELEIN — Medline has been awarded a new Military Health System Incentive Agreement for a variety of Bathing System No Rinse products. Items include ReadyBath caps and washcloths that help eliminate the need for basins, soaps, linens and lotions while providing a pH balanced formula for gentle use on skin. This sole source agreement is in effect through Sept. 30, 2018, for all Department of Defense medical treatment facilities across the United States, Pacific and Europe regions. These types of agreements are designed to help bring greater standardization, medical supply chain efficiencies and cost savings across DoD facilities. “We are proud to be able to help be a part of driving greater standardization of products to ultimately help improve patient care,” says John O’Daniel, vice president, government sales at Medline.
Baxter to sell drug globally
DEERFIELD — Baxter International has launched the global sale HDx enabled by Theranova, a new type of hemodialysis therapy that provides high performance treatments with integration into existing health care infrastructure. Baxter will launch HDx enabled by Theranova in Australia, New Zealand, France, Germany, Switzerland and Belgium this year. HDx, or expanded hemodialysis, uses Baxter’s new Theranova dialyzer to extend the range of molecules that can be filtered from the blood during therapy, resulting in a filtration profile that more closely mimics the natural kidney. Theranova dialyzers are indicated for treatment of chronic and acute renal failure by hemodialysis.
Inland executive nets honor
OAK BROOK — Rahul Sehgal, chief investment officer at Inland Private Capital Corp., was honored as one of Real Estate Forum’s “50 Under 40.” Sehgal received the honor in recognition of the positive impact he has made and the professional success he has experienced during his career with IPCC and in the commercial real estate industry. Sehgal is involved in all aspects of IPCC’s investment strategies and asset management functions. He is responsible for managing 487 properties nationwide, totaling more than 29 million square feet, including retail, office, industrial, multifamily, self-storage, student housing and medical office assets. Sehgal joined IPCC in 2004 and was promoted to chief investment officer in November 2012. He also serves on the IPCC board of directors.
