We can all immediately recognize a person who lifts our spirits and inspires us with their energy and enthusiasm. A recent graduate of Symbol’s advanced CNC program, Gary Chellberg improved his life through technical training.
Gary realized that he needed not just a job, but a career with growth possibilities that would support him and his family. After doing plenty of research, Gary found that CNC was a high-growth field with plenty of earning potential. As he searched for CNC training providers in the Chicagoland area, Gary realized that “Symbol is in a league of its own.”
Gary earned three NIMS (National Institute for Metalworking Skills) certificates from Symbol upon completing courses in Programming, Setup and Operation, Quality Control and Advanced Programming. His first interview at Chips Manufacturing was intended to last only 15 minutes. Two hours later, Gary walked out with not just a job, but the position of Production Supervisor.
Gary now works full time with plenty of overtime, at his first choice company.
“No matter what job or position you’re at, do your very best,” he says. “Always try to do a little better than what’s expected of you.”
Symbol students practice on production machinery and use the same tooling found on virtually every company’s shop floor. The curriculum is designed by and for manufacturing industry professionals. Symbol’s instructors all work in the industry and possess an in-depth understanding of the skills required to work in an advanced manufacturing environment.
Symbol’s industry-specific training is proven to be highly effective by manufacturers within the Chicagoland and surrounding areas. Symbol graduates are as good as hired, and many get jobs even before completing school. Symbol holds first place for manufacturing certifications in Illinois. A Symbol certificate is gold in your hands, and money in your pocket. Call (847) 673-6500 for a FREE tour, or register online at www.symboltraiing.edu.
