The great (and local) Gatsby

After a summer including stints on Milwaukee’s Summerfest stage and at Chicago’s venerable House of Blues, Plainfield-based rock band Gatsby is looking at another big gig: playing with Boston metalcore band Ice Nine Kills at Berwyn’s Wire. Gatsby’s driving hard-rock foundation — created by vocalist Dominik Pascente, guitarists Eric Holada and Ricky Sutton, Dan Scofield on drums, and with special guest Brian Johnson of Marina City on bass — is a solid local addition to the evening, which also includes San Diego’s post-hardcore Secrets, New York metal-based Sylar and more.

6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14, at Wire, 6815 W. Roosevelt Road, Berwyn. $13-$15. (708) 669-9473 or wireismusic.com.
