Aurora citizens group meets:

The West Aurora Concerned Citizens neighborhood group meets at 6:30 p.m. today in the Tech Center of Washington Middle School, 231 S. Constitution Drive. Guest speakers include Vernon LaVia with Crime Stoppers, Rick Smith, manager of the Aurora Animal Control and Care facility, and a representative from the Aurora Humane Society. Craft fair Friday in South Elgin:

‘Spelling Bee’ at Bookends:

West Dundee benefit concert:

The eighth annual Musicians on a Mission Benefit is 7 p.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church, 318 W. Main St., West Dundee. It will support the Community Crisis Center and the FISH Food Pantry. Area musicians including Steve and Sylvia Francois, Holly McNeill, Sharon Lowery, Denise Calderon, Blue Tulip Wranglers and the Silver Threads will offer an evening of folk and gospel.
