Fest vendors wanted:

West Chicago is accepting applications for vendors for its annual downtown garden festival, Blooming Fest, scheduled for May 20. The event combines the West Chicago Garden Club’s annual plant sale with a craft sale, car show, art exhibit, children’s activities, music and food. The current focus is on attracting crafters and food vendors. Applications for vendor spaces are available on the city’s website at westchicago.org under Residents/Forms and Applications or via email at bloomingfest@westchicago.org. The deadline for vendor applications is April 14.

Women Who Care:

A group of area women who contribute to local charities as a group — 100+ Women Who Care of Will County — will meet at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 14 at Embers Tap House, 933 S. State St., Lockport. At each of the group’s quarterly meetings, members vote on which of three charities to support. Once the winner is announced, everyone writes a $100 check to that charity.
