• Burglars stole a purse around 8 a.m. Sept. 9 out of an unlocked vehicle on the 700 block of Route 59.
• A vandal shot BB-gun pellets around 3 p.m. Sept. 9 that broke a front window at Platform 18 on the 100 block of West Railroad Avenue.
• Burglars broke into a car around 1:17 p.m. Sept. 12 at Beaver Pond on the 900 block of West Stearns Road and stole a purse. The female victim had dropped her phone and was looking for it at the time of the burglary.
Elk Grove Village
• Thieves stole a cellphone between 3 and 4 p.m. Sept. 5 out of a locker at 200 Rev. Morrison Blvd. Value was estimated at $700.
• Thieves stole a 2006 Trailmobile 53-foot trailer around noon July 26 on the 1200 block of Busse Road. Value was estimated at $10,000.
• Burglars stole a leaf blower around 1:17 p.m. Sept. 3 out of a 2009 Chevrolet pickup truck at Oakton Street and Arlington Heights Road. Value was estimated at $450.
• Thieves stole a 2005 Utility 53-foot refrigerator truck between Aug. 26 and 29 from the south dock at Carry Transportation, 2777 Old Higgins Road. Value was estimated at $10,000.
• Burglars broke into a 2002 Chevrolet Express work van between 8:30 p.m. Aug. 30 and 8:30 a.m. Aug. 31 at Smith Mechanical Group, 212 Crossen Ave., and stole tools, piping machine, pipe wrenches, air-conditioner refrigerant, gauges for HVAC, and a vacuum pump. Value was estimated at $10,625.
• Thieves stole a 1988 Wabash flatbed and a 2007 Ningbo container between 11 p.m. Aug. 10 and 8 a.m. Aug. 14 out of a lot at 1000 Estes Ave. Value was estimated at $6,450.
• Vandals broke a window between Aug. 20 and 26 at a home on the 600 block of Fairfield Circle. Damage was estimated at $500.
• A shoplifter stole a 40-inch TV around 12:50 a.m. Aug. 29 from Wal-Mart, 801 Meacham Road. Value was estimated at $498.
Hanover Park
• A vandal hurled a vase around 2:38 a.m. Sept. 11 that broke a front window at a home on the 5500 block of Court G.
• Burglars stole a backpack around 5 p.m. Sept. 15 out of a home on the 8000 block of Kingsbury.
• Nelson Rivera Perez, 38, two addresses listed: 7100 Astor, Hanover Park, or 6300 Church, Hanover Park, was arrested around 5:57 p.m. Sept. 6 on the 2300 block of Walnut and charged with loitering. He also was arrested around 7:36 p.m. on the 2400 block of Walnut and charged with aggravated assault to a peace officer.
• Thieves stole a purse around 4:46 p.m. Sept. 3 out of a shopping cart at Tony’s Finer Foods, 7580 Barrington Road.
• Thieves stole a purse around 3:33 p.m. Sept. 2 from a customer at Chase Bank, 1640 Irving Park Road.
Hoffman Estates
• Thieves stole an aluminum mailbox between 10 p.m. Sept. 10 and 6 a.m. Sept. 12 by twisting it off its post at a home on the 1200 block of John Drive. Value was estimated at $100.
• Luke Ali Meyrick, 19, of the 100 block of Bode Road, Hoffman Estates, was arrested around 8:10 a.m. Sept. 12 in a business at 900 Grand Canyon Parkway and charged with criminal trespass to real property.
• Vandals carved gang signs between Sept. 8 and 12 on a newly poured concrete apron at the village’s water pumping station, 1775 Abbey Wood Drive.
Schaumburg
• Rafael Miguel Garcia, 26, of the 4700 block of North Bernard Street, Chicago, was arrested around 3:13 p.m. Aug. 30 at Target, 1235 E. Higgins Road, and charged with retail theft. The report said a security agent saw him take merchandise valued at $130.
Streamwood
• A man was seen on a security video taking a purse containing a cellphone and $60 out of a shopping cart around 3:42 p.m. Sept. 4 in Target, 1001 S. Sutton Road. He left with another man. They fled in a red van.
• Thieves stole a pistol between 1 p.m. Aug. 31 and 5 p.m. Sept. 3 out of a home on the 300 block of Monarch Drive. The female resident held a party in her home Aug. 31. The handgun was taken out of a box in a bedroom closet. Value was estimated at $300.
• Tracy D. Hale, 21, of the 1500 block of Mckool Avenue, Streamwood, was arrested around 9:10 p.m. Sept. 2 on the 1500 block of Mckool Avenue and charged with felony possession of a firearm without a Firearm Owner’s ID card. Officers were called to the area when a witness saw Hale holding a handgun, the report said.
• Burglars stole a driver’s license and debit card between 9 and 11:40 p.m. Sept. 3 out of an unlocked 2015 Toyota in a driveway on the 100 block of LaSalle Road.
• Steven E. Wishney, 60, of the 100 block of Briarwood Drive, Streamwood, was arrested around 12:09 p.m. Sept. 4 at his home and charged with battery. Officers had been called to the home to investigate damage to Wishney’s 2013 Ford Taurus. Unknown offenders had thrown a brick through the windshield, also damaging the hood. Wishney became verbally aggressive toward one of the officers before pushing the officer with his chest, according to the police report.
• Dash Bailey-Rivera, 20, of the 900 block of Mulberry Lane, Streamwood, was arrested around 9:17 p.m. Sept. 6 at his home and charged with criminal damage to property. The report said he broke picture frames, kicked the front screen door and tried to break car windows during an angry outburst. His court date is Sept. 28.
