Camping World to expand
LINCOLNSHIRE — Camping World Holdings announced plans for expansion in Michigan, with a goal of six new stores in the state by the end of 2018. Camping World currently operates a Supercenter in Houghton Lake, and two parts and accessories retail stores in Belleville and Grand Rapids. “Our goal is to add new stores and either expand or relocate existing stores,” said Marcus Lemonis, Chairman and CEO of Camping World and Good Sam. “Based on current market conditions and the addition of new stores, expansion or relocation of existing stores, our goal is to have at least six full service Supercenters with the full selection of Camping World and Good Sam products and services in the state of Michigan by the end of 2018.” Roger Nuttall, President of Camping World retail, added the company’s product line “gives us the unique ability to rapidly expand in the state of Michigan and better serve our current customer base while also attracting additional outdoor enthusiasts to our locations.”
Waste Management signs lease
LOMBARD — NAI Hiffman announced Waste Management has signed a lease renewal at 700-720 E. Butterfield Road in Lombard. NAI Hiffman Executive Vice President Michael Van Zandt and Vice President Brian Edgerton represented the landlord, St. Paul Fire & Marine, in the 86,110-square-foot office lease. Waste Management has been an active tenant at Butterfield Centre since 1991 and continues to benefit from the property’s prime location in DuPage County. NAI Hiffman provides leasing and management services at Butterfield Centre, a two-building, 280,672-square-foot, Class A office complex centrally located at 700-720 E. Butterfield Road. The property features proximity to major interchanges like I-88 and I-355, as well as restaurants and shops within Yorktown Center Mall in Lombard.
BAB revamps Mideast deal
DEERFIELD — BAB Systems has restructured its agreement with and Mont Royal Restaurant and Café over its development of Big Apple Bagel stores in the Middle East. The companies have terminated the 2014 master franchise development agreement for the development of Big Apple Bagels stores, and have signed a new exclusive licensing agreement for the development of Big Apple Bagels Cafés within the United Arab Emirates. The stores will offer, in addition to bagels, muffins and coffees, a full service dining experience and a broader menu than the typical Big Apple Bagels store.
Wal-Mart seeks new products
CHICAGO — Wal-Mart is looking for Illinois entrepreneurs to pitch their products made in the USA to the company’s buyers in a daylong event at Wal-Mart’s global headquarters in Bentonville, Arkansas, on June 28. Wal-Mart buyers are looking to make deals of varying sizes, from supplying products to a handful of local stores to supplying hundreds or thousands of stores, Sam’s Club locations and Walmart.com. Registration is open at walmart-jump.com until May 18. “By investing in products that support American jobs, we are able to bring new products to our shelves that our customers want and new jobs to our communities,” said Cindi Marsiglio, Wal-Mart’s vice president of U.S. Manufacturing.
