Celebrate the season with the Mount Prospect Park District’s Fabulous Fall Fest from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, at Lions Recreation Center. The event, formerly known as the Howlin’ Halloween Fest, has been a Mount Prospect family tradition for almost 20 years.

Enjoy a hay ride, petting zoo, climbing wall, inflatable corn maze, magic show and photo booth as well as games, prizes and goodies. Bounce houses, balloon art and costumed characters add to the fun. Concessions available.

Admission is $5 per child (payable at the door) and includes a trick-or-treat bag; free for adults. The fest moves indoors in case of inclement weather.

New in 2016, the fest features the music of Chicago country group Hillbilly Rockstarz from 1:30 to 3 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Bandshell. The band specializes in covering the latest hits in country music.

Lions Recreation Center is at 411 S. Maple in Mount Prospect. Call (847) 640-1000 or visit www. mppd.org.
