Vericlaim names Reis president

NAPERVILLE — Vericlaim announced that insurance industry veteran Edward Reis has joined the company as president of Vericlaim Repair Solutions, the managed repair network established by the consolidation of First Choice Repair and Diamond Property Loss Solutions. Reis will oversee the Vericlaim Repair Solutions teams based in Jacksonville, Florida, and Elk Grove Village. William Breslin, who preceded Reis as president of Vericlaim Repair Solutions, will remain with the company in the role of senior adviser to Vericlaim President Thomas Simoncic. Reis previously held leadership roles at Farmers, Zurich and Esurance, an Allstate company. Reis earned a bachelor’s degree from San Diego State University and completed the Insurance Executive Development Program at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania; he also holds professional designations as an Associate in Claims and Fraud Claim Law Associate.

Perma-Pipe tabs new executive

NILES — Perma-Pipe International Holdings appointed John Carusiello senior vice president — Americas, with full operating and financial responsibility for Perma-Pipe’s business in the Americas region. Carusiello previously served as division president, Perma-Pipe Oil & Gas and vice president, BPPC, the group’s anti-corrosion and insulation coating company in Canada. He was also member of BPPC’s board of directors. Before joining Perma-Pipe in 1996, he served as vice president, operations and engineering for Meyer Tool & Manufacturing and project engineering manager for Chicago Bridge & Iron Co. “During John’s 20 years’ tenure with Perma-Pipe, he has consistently demonstrated his capabilities, commitment and ability to respond to the ever-changing business environment,” said President and CEO David Mansfield.

CME president to speak

ROMEOVILLE — Bryan T. Durkin, president of CME Group, will share his insights with Lewis University students during the 2017 Lewis University College of Business Ethics Week. Durkin’s address will begin at 11 a.m. March 30 in the St. Charles Borromeo Convocation Hall on the Lewis University main campus in Romeoville. The event is free and open to the public. Durkin, a Lewis alumnus, is responsible for overseeing the CME Group’s Technology, Global Operations, Market Technology and Data Services, and International businesses, as well as the company’s GFX division. Ethics Week is an annual observance for the College of Business; professors put an emphasis on ethical leadership into their lessons.

Inland buys 4 medical offices

OAK BROOK — Inland Real Estate Acquisitions said it has acquired four medical office buildings — one each in North Carolina and Utah and two in Texas — for a combined total of nearly 119,000 square feet of commercial real estate. Terms of the acquisitions were not announced. “These newly constructed medical office buildings have well-established tenants and are ideally located within their respective regions, making them a prime example of the type of acquisitions we continue to seek out in our health care product line,” said Matthew Tice, senior vice president of Inland Real Estate Acquisitions, who facilitated the transactions.
