Elburn Craft Fair: The Elburn Chamber of Commerce will host its craft fair during Elburn Days. The craft show will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 19; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20; and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 21, at Elburn Lions Park. Oktoberfest craft show: Stop by the craft show from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, during Trinity Lutheran Church’s Oktoberfest. Festival of the Vine: Local crafters and artists in the Fox Valley area will be showcasing their talents at this year’s Festival of the Vine. More than 75 exhibitors will display their creative wares in colorful tents on the south side of the historic Kane County Courthouse parking lot on Campbell Street in Geneva. Fall art show: More than 100 paintings on display and for sale by a variety of area artists at the Dundee Township Senior Center’s annual art show. It will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, and Sunday, Sept. 11, at Rakow Center’s Senior Center, 665 Barrington Ave. in Carpentersville. There is no admission fee. Meet the artists. The Senior Center for those 50 or older offers a variety of classes, special events, day trips, fitness programs, card playing groups, social clubs and more. Edgewater Pretty Crafty Craft Fair: Crafters from near and far will “wow” you with their creations from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, at Edgewater by Del Webb on Bowes Road, west of Randall Road, Elgin. Get an early start for your holiday shopping. Exhibits include children’s books, wall hangings, jewelry, food gift baskets, seasonal decorations and more. Free admission. Craft and Vendor Show: The Batavia Mothers’ Club Foundation is now accepting applications for crafters and vendors for the 31st Annual Autumn Craft & Vendor Show to be held at Batavia High School Saturday, Oct. 15.

The Craft & Vendor Show features handcrafted items from a variety of area artisans, as well as selected vendors. Each year this event spotlights a juried selection of arts and crafts designed and created by the artist.

The show also will include the popular bake sale, a charity raffle along with concessions and lunch services. This is a well-attended event with a $5 admission fee.

Raffle donations are needed for the charity raffle. If you are a business owner who would like to make a contribution, contact craftshow@batavia mothersclub.org. In addition, sponsoring our event can help business owners get some publicity and contribute to the greater good of their community.

Gingerbread Bazaar: The annual Gingerbread Bazaar, one of the first holiday season bazaars, will be 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, at Epworth United Methodist Church, 37W040 Highland Ave. in Elgin. It’s a showcase for quality handmade products. A bake sale also will be featured and a light lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for $5. MCC Craft Fair: McHenry County College will host its 32nd annual craft fair from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 23, at the college, 8900 Route 14, Crystal Lake. More than 120 crafters are anticipated and will exhibit a variety of handcrafted and homemade items including ceramics, clothing, greeting cards, ornaments, quilts, jewelry and candles.

Crafters spaces are $45 each, plus an additional $8 to rent a table. Spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Door prize drawings will continue throughout the day and each crafter is asked to donate an item from their wares.

Arts and Crafts Show: The Geneva Women’s Club is holding its 42nd annual Arts and Crafts Show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at Geneva High School, 416 McKinley Ave. At last year’s event, there were more than 100 different booths for both arts and crafts.
