Tee Up for Excellence: The District 300 Foundation for Educational Excellence invites you to “Tee Up for Excellence in Education” by joining the eighth-annual golf outing fundraiser on Friday, July 29, at Randall Oaks Golf Club in West Dundee.

The foundation seeks to enhance, enrich and extend learning opportunities to all students in District 300. Proceeds from this event will be used to fund projects that enrich curriculum and extend educational experiences that would otherwise not be available to District 300 students through traditional taxpayer funding.

Individual registration is $125, which includes 18 holes of golf with cart rental, lunch, two drink tickets and pig roast buffet dinner.

Tee Up 4 Charity: The Pioneer Center for Human Services will hold its “Tee Up 4 Charity” golf outing on Friday, July 29, at Prairie Isle Golf Course, 2216 Route 176 in Prairie Grove. Registration begins at 11 a.m. with the shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. Cost is $100 and includes 18 holes of golf, cart rental, box lunch, group photo, gift bag, dinner and hole prizes. Aug. 11

U.S. Minority Contractors Association: On Thursday, Aug. 11, the U.S. Minority Contractors Association will hold its second annual golf outing fundraiser from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Makray Memorial Golf Course, 1010 S. Northwest Hwy. in Barrington.

Cost is $200 or $800 per foursome. It includes your green fees, cart rental, breakfast, lunch, dinner and cocktails. They encourage scrambles of four but individual registrations are welcome and teams will be assigned.

The shotgun start is at 10 a.m.

Admission for nongolfers and networking is $60 per person, which will include a dinner and cocktails. The raffle and silent auction starts at 3:45 p.m., with dinner at 4 p.m.

Numerous sponsorship opportunities are available.

The U.S. Minority Contractors Association is a nonprofit professional trade organization that provides professional, educational, technical and consulting services to both its membership and through the community at large. It serves as the advocacy agency for minority contractors and subcontractors in the suburban community while endeavoring to provide the best consulting services possible in the construction, environmental, building maintenance, architectural engineering design, hospitality training and general service industries.

Links for Living Waters: The fourth annual “Links for Living Waters” charity golf tournament and dinner is open for registration. The outing will be held Friday, Aug. 26, at Mill Creek Golf Club, 39W525 Mill Creek Drive, Geneva. Golfer packages and dinner-only reservations are accepted at www.livingwatersfvpres.org. Sign up as a single golfer or as part of a foursome.

Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 12:45 p.m. Music, dinner, prize drawings and golf awards round out the event beginning at 6:30 p.m.

The cost is $100 per golfer and includes 18 holes, cart, lunch ticket, and dinner. Dinner-only reservations are $50 per person. The outing is open to the public.

Living Waters for the World is a mission of Fox Valley Presbyterian Church, Geneva. Proceeds will support installation of new clean water systems and ongoing health and hygiene education in Guatemalan villages.

Aug. 29

Family Alliance golf outing: Family Alliance will hold its golf outing and annual dinner on Monday, Aug. 29, at Bull Valley Country Club in Woodstock. They provide comprehensive health care services with the goal of enhancing quality of life for the growing adult population and their families in the region. It is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with over 30 years of service in McHenry County.

Sept. 15

Kaneland Foundation: The Kaneland Foundation will hold its 23rd annual golf outing on Thursday, Sept. 15, at Bliss Creek Golf Course, 1 Golfview Drive in Sugar Grove. Registration and lunch will begin at 11 a.m., with the shotgun/scramble start at noon. It will be followed by dinner at 5 p.m. Cost is $100. For dinner only, it is $40.

The foundation is a nonprofit organization that has contributed for decades to the educational needs of the students of Kaneland Unit District 302. Its mission is to support academic excellence through innovation. Since the foundation has no administrative costs, every dollar goes back to our students in the school district. Since 2008, the Kaneland Foundation has provided over $95,000 in grants to Kaneland teachers. Those grants have been used to support numerous programs, including 21st-century technology, community events, service opportunities and student assemblies.

Algonquin Lake in the Hills Chamber: The chamber’s 2016 golf outing will be held Monday, Sept. 19, at Turnberry Country Club in Lakewood. The event is open to chamber and non-chamber members, and is sponsored by many local area businesses. The day will begin at 11:30 a.m. and concludes with cocktails and dinner.
