‘Under the Lamplight’: 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, May 4-6, Vernon Hills High School, 145 Lakeview Parkway, Vernon Hills. The VHHS spring play, “Under the Lamplight,” is a new adaptation of “Under the Gaslight,” bringing audiences back to a time when boos and hisses filled the theaters with all the familiar elements of melodrama, including near death escapes and the first “innocence tied to the train tracks” scene. Star Wars Celebration: 5-8 p.m. Thursday, May 4, Wauconda Area Library, 801 N. Main St., Wauconda. All ages can take part in Star Wars gaming in the Kid City’s gaming center, or become part of the Jedi Order by crafting their own Jedi ears in the Maker Space.
