A special Day at the Park hosted by the Hanover Park Park District will be from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 7, at the Community Center Park, 1919 Walnut Ave., Hanover Park. Free face painting and balloon artist along with special park district fall program discounts, Touch-a-Truck, games and prizes will be available. Kids will also have a blast with the new wristband area, which gives them unlimited access to a 50-foot long Radical Run Obstacle Course, Double Spin Art, and the Frog Flinger and Crazy Dot carnival games. Wristbands can be prepurchased at the Community Center for $5 or bought the day of for $6. Food vendor Dino’s Fresh Market will be offering concessions; cash only. (Courtesy of Heczen Gomez)
