Garden clubs

• Arlington Heights Garden Club: 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 24, “Illinois Wildflowers,” presented by Kris DaPra McCabe at Arlington Heights Village Hall, Buechner Room, first floor, 35 S. Arlington Heights Road. This program will help the gardener incorporate wildflowers into their gardens by giving information in relation to the native flowers that grow in our home state. McCabe will identify some of the common native wildflowers that can be seen as close as Busse Woods Forest Preserve, in our own backyard. Hear about the challenge of preserving and protecting our precious natural heritage in addition to incorporating natives into your landscape.
