Former Chicago Bear Charles Tillman will open the 58th annual Chicago Air and Water Show on Aug. 20 by tandem jumping with the Army Golden Knights.
The retired cornerback’s jump will celebrate the 75th anniversary of the USO’s aid to service members and their families.
The Chicago Air and Water Show will be Aug. 20-21 on the lakefront. North Avenue Beach will be the show center from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.
Tillman was the 2013 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year and the 2015 USO Angel Harvey Heart of a Patriot Award recipient. Last month, he signed a one-day contract with the Bears so he could retire as a member of the team that drafted him in 2003.
