Re-shoring expert to speak

HOFFMAN ESTATES — The Technology & Manufacturing Association’s Young Leaders group will host Re-Shoring Initiative founder Harry Moser at “Bring Manufacturing Back Home” Luncheon, scheduled for 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. todayat Stonegate Conference Center, 2401 W. Higgins Road, Hoffman Estates. Moser helped a local contract manufacturer save a $60 million by quantifying the hidden costs of outsourcing in China. Prior to founding the Initiative, Moser held leadership positions at GF Machining Solutions where he began as President in 1985 and retired as Chairman Emeritus in 2010.

McShane to build rentals

OAK BROOK — McShane Construction of Rosemont was selected by Interforum Holdings for the construction of its new luxury rental community called Lakeside Village of Oak Brook. The 315-unit complex will be constructed on a six-acre parcel off Royce Boulevard in Oak Brook. The four-story development will feature an urban “Texas donut” design requiring the residential component to be constructed around a central core parking garage. This configuration provides added convenience for residents allowing them to live and park on the same level. The property will consist of 40 one-, 263 two- and 12 three-bedroom floor plans. Each unit will be complete with high-end features such as quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, in-unit washers and dryers, walk-in closets and a private balcony or patio. Construction will be completed in phases with move-ins beginning in early 2018. The entire development will be completed in late 2018.

PSI inks supply deal

WOOD DALE — Power Solutions International and it’s subsidiary Professional Power Products has signed a multiyear supply agreement with U.S. microgrid provider Enchanted Rock Ltd. The agreement is valued at approximately $240 to $335 million over the first five years, subject to the attainment of certain targeted volume levels. The new agreement expands the partnership between ERock and 3Pi, established by an earlier agreement signed in June 2016. The mutually exclusive, multiyear agreement specifies that ERock will purchase approximately $30 million of new microgrid genset units from 3Pi in 2017 with volumes increasing significantly in 2018, 2019 and 2020. PSI will exclusively supply the Heavy Duty 21.9L engine to ERock for reliability microgrid applications in North America. 3Pi designs, manufactures, and sells custom-engineered, integrated electrical power generation systems for standby power, demand response, microgrid and cogeneration markets.

Startup firm gets Eaton line

OAKBROOK TERRACE — Force Partners, a start up lighting agency, will represent Eaton’s Lighting Division’s lighting product lines in Northern Illinois, including the greater Chicago area and Rockford, as well as Northwest Indiana. The company will provide Eaton’s advanced LED solutions of 20-plus lighting product lines for the commercial, industrial, residential and sports lighting markets. “We created Force Partners to help enable the future of lighting,” said Brian Dauskurdas, principal, Force Partners.

Industry veteran Principal Pete Kokuzian will join Dauskurdas in the new agency, combining more than 25 years of industry experience in the lighting and electrical businesses.
