Eileen Strong Golf Outing: Sign up now to golf for a good cause at the second annual Eileen Strong Golf Outing event to honor a paralyzed local mother and wife, Eileen Reedy, Monday, June 20, at the Golf Club of Illinois, 1575 Edgewood Drive in Algonquin.

Registration begins at 9 a.m., with a shotgun start at 11 a.m. Cocktails, dinner and auction events will round out the event beginning at 4:30 p.m.

A fall in 2014 left Reedy paralyzed from the chest down. With the community’s support, the determined mother of three has regained some movement in her arms and legs and can walk with a walker for a short distance. Proceeds from the second annual golf outing will be collected through the nonprofit HelpHOPELive to help cover the uninsured expenses associated with her injury.

To learn about Reedy and register for the event online, visit helphopelive.org.

Registration ends June 13. Admission is $175 per player or $700 for a team of four. Cocktails and dinner only is $75 per person.
