The Frank Lloyd Wright Trust is kicking off a year-long celebration of the 150th anniversary of the birth of Frank Lloyd Wright with special features for its annual Housewalk, Wright Plus 150, on Saturday, May 20 in Oak Park.
Presenting interior tours of rarely seen private homes and public buildings designed by Wright and his contemporaries, Wright Plus 150 includes:
• Four private Wright homes: The visionary Laura Gale House (1909), Wright’s spectacular Arthur B. Heurtley House (1902), his Japanese-influenced Hills DeCaro House (1906) and his remodeling in the Harrison P. Young House (1895).
• A full exterior-tour lineup of featured homes located in an easily walkable loop, just steps from Wright’s Oak Park Home and Studio.
Also special for Wright Plus are two luxury experiences for architecture and design enthusiasts.
• The Ultimate Plus Weekend Package, May 18-21, provides four days of exclusive tours and activities, including a gourmet dinner at a private Frank Lloyd Wright home, Fast Pass access to the Wright Plus 150 Housewalk, a hotel stay and more.
• New for Wright Plus 150 is Ultimate Saturday, with highlights of the Ultimate Plus package on the day of the Housewalk.
Tickets to the Wright Plus 150 Housewalk are available at $95 each for up to four tickets, $85 each for Trust members, through March 31. Ticket prices then increase by $5 to $10 monthly on a tiered pricing schedule. For details, visit flwright.org/wrightplus.
