‘Deplorables’ are voting — and they’re winning
The Democratic establishment is right, Trump did not win the election — they gave the presidency to Trump, their arrogance, the superdelegates that are appointed, not elected, dirty tricks on Sanders, forgetting the common folk did.
As voters you were lead to the trough and drank, you really had no say. Now some are protesting, others use protesting to do more — destroy property, loot, beat up people that do not share their views.
If you are a serious well meaning Democrat, you should be working to fix the problems your party has created. Examine the culture of some and the rant in the entertainment and sports. Have them put money where their mouth is and donate time. As a Democrat on a state level you can be so proud of your choices over the last 35 years. Your choice of Mike Madigan and the boys have made the state the worst in the country in every respect. Yet you continue to ignore the problems. No protest. Illinois has ceased to be a democracy. Must be OK with you.
The choice is yours. Make the right one for Illinois and the nation. Remember while you protest-blame others and refuse to take responsibility, the deplorables are voting and winning.

Jackson leadership a boon
As a long time resident of unincorporated Glen Ellyn on its north side that adjoins Glendale Heights, I’ve been able to see Glendale Heights progress, bringing new businesses to the area, benefiting everyone.
I credit this to the long standing leadership of its Village President, Linda Jackson. Early on in her administration I sat in on some of her board meetings to see what she was all about. I saw that she was attentive to peoples concerns. It turned out she was there to help people, and that she has done.
Jackson, working with the village board has provided numerous improvements efficiently for the benefit of its residents. As a nonresident I’ve personally rented their banquet room. Her administration has developed programs to help keep youth safe from drugs, neighborhoods secure, and seniors socializing and well nourished at the senior center, to name a few.
With Linda Jackson’s reelection approaching, voters should be grateful for her accomplishments by allowing her to finish her work in progress.
