CityPark on auction block

LINCOLNSHIRE — CityPark at Lincolnshire , a 77,821-square-foot retail center that is 33 percent empty, will be sold during an online auction Aug. 22 through Aug. 24, said online auction firm Ten-X Commercial. Ten-X Commercial, along with real estate broker HFF, aim to sell the Lincolnshire property, which is 67-percent leased, Ten-X said in a news release. Built in 2001, CityPark is on 8.17 acres at Milwaukee Avenue and Aptakisic Road. The spaces that are available for lease range from 1,350 square-feet to 8,890 square-feet, the companies said. CityPark at Lincolnshire’s 14 tenants include Red Robin, BBCN Bank, T-Mobile and FedEx Office. The property is anchored by Viper Alley, a 15,500-square-foot private event entertainment venue.

Company honored for safety

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS — Sheet Metal Werks recently placed third within the 50,001-100,000 man-hour category of the 2016 Sheet Metal & Air Conditioning Contractors’ National Association Safety Excellence Award Program. The company, along with 138 other firms in the United States and Canada, participated in this year’s program. Chapter members with the highest level of survey participants secured recognition for their outstanding safety and health records. First and second place winners in the same category included Lyon Sheet Metal Inc. of St. Louis, Mo., and Corn States Metal Fabricators Inc. of West Des Moines, Iowa, respectively. “We have worked diligently as a total team effort throughout the company to try and be the best when it comes to safety every day, and continue to work hard daily on making improvements to our safety program,” said Kevin Ryan, president of Sheet Metal Werks.
