Aurora East Educational Foundation received an $8,169 replica check Feb. 19 from Kane County Teachers Credit Union representatives.

Bill J. Deligiannis, foundation chairman, said the giveback represents a portion of 2020 Tomcat affinity card transactions through Aurora-based Kane County Teachers Credit Union.

Under the program, he explained, the foundation receives a portion of Tomcat credit/debit card transactions.

Deligiannis said the giveback will fund scholarships for students and mini grants for teachers in East Aurora Unit District 131.

“Many thanks to the community at large for supporting this program and to our partner and all its associates at the KCTCU,” he said.

According to Deligiannis, East Aurora alumni and friends can apply for a Tomcat card atwww.kctcu.org.

In addition to East Aurora, other Kane County Teachers Credit Union affinity-card partners are West Aurora Unit District 129, Geneva Unit District 304, Batavia Unit District 101, Algonquin-based Community Unit District 300, Elgin Area School District U-46, Elgin Community College, and Gail Borden Library.
