Christmas Craft and Home Show: The Marmion Alumni Association is accepting applications for the 26th annual Christmas Craft and Home Show. The juried craft and home show will take place Thanksgiving weekend from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 27, in the Regole Field House and Alumni Hall at Marmion Academy, 1000 Butterfield Road, Aurora.

The deadline is Wednesday, Aug. 10. The fee for a 10- by-10-foot booth is $150 or $175 for a premium booth. All booth fees are nonrefundable at the time of acceptance into the show. Last year’s show featured more than 150 crafters and vendors and drew nearly 3,000 customers. To obtain an application, visit the “Alumni” page on marmion.org.

Elburn Craft Fair: There are still a few booth spaces left for this year’s Elburn Chamber of Commerce Elburn Days Craft Fair. To reserve a booth space or to get details, call the chamber office at (630) 365-2295. The craft show will be Aug. 19-21 at Elburn Lions Community Park. Be sure to include a copy of liability insurance with your application.

Craft and Vendor Show: The Batavia Mothers’ Club Foundation is now accepting applications for crafters and vendors for the 31st Annual Autumn Craft & Vendor Show to be held at Batavia High School Saturday, Oct. 15. The Craft & Vendor Show features handcrafted items from a variety of area artisans, as well as selected vendors. Each year this event spotlights a juried selection of arts and crafts designed and created by the artist. The show also will include the popular bake sale, a charity raffle along with concessions and lunch services. Advertising is extensive throughout the Fox Valley: news releases, outdoor signage, posters, internet ads, schools backpack mail system, and so forth. This is a well-attended event with a $5 admission fee.

Raffle donations are needed for the charity raffle; if you are a business owner who would like to make a contribution, contact us at craftshow@bataviamothersclub.org. In addition, sponsoring our event can help business owners get some publicity and contribute to the greater good of their community. MCC Craft Fair: McHenry County College will host its 32nd annual craft fair from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 23, at the college, 8900 Route 14, Crystal Lake. More than 120 crafters are anticipated and will exhibit a variety of handcrafted and homemade items including ceramics, clothing, greeting cards, ornaments, quilts, jewelry and candles.

Crafters spaces are $45 each, plus an additional $8 to rent a table. Spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Door prize drawings will continue throughout the day and each crafter is asked to donate an item from their wares. Free coffee and doughnuts are available at time of set up. Arts and Crafts Show: The Geneva Women’s Club is holding its 42nd annual Arts and Crafts Show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at Geneva High School, 416 McKinley Ave. At last year’s event, there were more than 100 different booths for both arts and crafts.
