Member of 1961 Hawks Stanley Cup team dies at 83
Ken Wharram, a member of the Hawks’ 1961 Stanley Cup team died Tuesday at age 83. Wharram had 252 goals and 281 assists in a career that spanned 14 seasons, all with the Hawks.
“Kenny Wharram will always be remembered as an important member of this decorated franchise and we are grateful to have him in the Blackhawks family,” the team said in a statement. “A member of the 1961 Stanley Cup Championship team, Ken was one of the most consistent scorers throughout his Blackhawks career.”
