• Every year thousands of people drive to experience the annual Live Drive-Thru Christmas Nativity from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Dec. 16-17, at Faith World Outreach Church, 1280 S. • This month’s Third Tuesday Supper will be from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Dec. 20 at the United Methodist Church of Geneva, 211 Hamilton St. It is free and open to all. The menu for the “Festive Advent Supper” will be roast pork, mashed potatoes and gravy, hot vegetable du jour, warm cinnamon apples, and rolls, as well as the popular 24-foot dessert table featuring holiday-themed goodies. Hot dogs and carrots and dip are always available as an alternative meal. They will be preparing 600 meals of the featured menu and apologize if you arrive and they have made some substitutions. Dinner is served on both the first floor and the second-floor elevator-accessible dining hall.
Anyone wishing to donate money to the supper program can do so by sending a check to the church office marked Third Tuesday Suppers, or donating in The Quiet Can that sits on the beverage table on supper night. • Hosanna! Lutheran Church, 36W925 Red Gate Road in St. Charles, invites the community to join one of four Christmas Eve worship services.
The family service, great for families with young children, will be at 3 p.m. The contemporary music service will be at 5 p.m. and the traditional music services will be at 9 and 11 p.m. Glow sticks will be part of the 3 p.m. service and handheld candles will be part of services at 5, 9 and 11 p.m. The theme for all four services will be “Where There is Christ There is Hope.”

• The Prayer Shawl Ministry at Congregational Church of Batavia is creating and blessing prayer shawls for friends and family experiencing either happy or difficult times.
